Electrical Design & Installation

The nature of these works can vary but generally relate to more complex work and are likely to be building control notifiable for customers in domestic dwellings.


Through utilising a registered competent person such as PKR Electrical Installation Services, for domestic customers they will not have to pay additional building control charges for the elements of electrical works completed. We can deal with everything for you to ensure you receive a certificate that confirms the work completed meets building regulations.


Examples of works are :


  • New installations, rewires or partial rewires
  • New or replacement consumer units
  • One or more new circuits
  • Modifying a circuit in a special location

Periodic Inspection & Testing

Periodic Inspection, Testing & Certification, including Private Rental Sector (PRS) for landlords


Issue of certification for periodic inspection, also known as Electrical Installation Condition Reports are undertaken for both our domestic and commercial customers. This may lead to troubleshooting, diagnostics and correction of electrical faults.

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)

Paul Parker is accredited with City & Guilds 2377 for completion of in service inspection and testing of portable appliances.


PAT Testing - Why? Employers (and self employed) must ensure that all electrical work equipment is safe, suitable for the purpose and properly maintained in good order to ensure compliance with:


  • The UK Provision and use of work equipment regulations 1988 (PUWER)


  • The electricity at work regulations 1989


Formal inspection and testing of each appliance in accordance with IET code of practice 5th edition include both 110v and 230v items of equipment. All items tested are numbered and labelled appropriately for either "Pass" or "Fail". 


On completion of works a detailed report and safety certificate is issued detailing tests completed and associated results.
